Jeremy Clarkson is one of the most famous TV presenters in Britain. His TV programme Top Gear has brought him both fame and wealth and through it he’s managed to capture the hearts of many with his charisma and his politically incorrect comments. But for some reason, his jokes and comments have made people believe in him, up to a point when there’s even a facebook request to make him PM, and both the Times and the Sun, newspapers that he works for, have written an article about it. What is it about Jeremy Clarkson that drags us to like him so much, that we even dare to support him as the next British PM?
But if he were ever to seriously run for office, would he have everything it takes to make a good PM? Would he ever be able to deal with a global economic crisis, climate changes, crimes in the streets, etc. Or would he just get rid of all the London buses and make people drive only racing cars, go on holidays whenever he wants, cut the drinking-age and cut the driving-age as he has mentioned in his Times and Sun Manifesto? To me, Jeremy Clarkson has to take things more seriously if he really wants to take such a big political position. However, if he did, we’d have one of the funniest and most dedicated PM Britain could ever have.

hey michel!! good article.. even though i'm kinda lost.. lol... your article demonstrates also that newspapers and tv's stations cares a lot about what ppl says on social web pages as facebook!!... even though ppl can say whatever they want there..without actually being truth and everybody gets it as if it is real!... i could dominate you as British PM in facebook... or even dominate myself... cut what happens?? everybody sees and says..wtf?? you know.. but actually they do care about all that.. and I guess ppl took it for real and got really impressed when Jeremy Clarkson got nominated as PM in facebook...but what happens...is that that just could be a play.. maybe is not..who knows..but I think ppl should not take for real all the things that people says in social networking webpages...I don't really know about what's happening over there and all these deals about jeremy and being the next PM..but what i said is that even if he is good.. or even if he is not good.. ppl should not care that much of what happens in social networks and being more interested on real facts that he does in a official Tv or Newspaper's Interview...that's all i wanted to say..bye bye
ReplyDeleteI agree with some of the things you say, but I have to remind you that social networking could just be one of the most powerful tools to promote someone nowadays. Remember that we live in a modern era when the internet is taking over many things-jobs that needed to be done from an office are now done from home by the internet for example. Most of the bank transaction we used to make from the bank, now we can just make them through the internet, and the list goes on and on. Plus, I have to say that much of the global publicity made by the Obama campaigners were made through the internet. There were many FaceBook requests like Obama for President. That gave him a lot of publicity. So I do believe that social networking is important when it comes to advertising someone for office. Not as much as people think, but it is.
